History of Sulfur:
The History of Sulfur goes back way before our time. Research says that it was found in ancient times and the person who discovered it is unknown.

HISTORY

  • The name may have come from the Arabic word, "Sufra" which mean yellow
  • Sulfur became a recognized chemical element in 1789.
  • By the 1800's sulfur, in the form if sulfuric acid had become the best way to judge
  • a country's wealth. Countries have even gone to war over Sulfer
