THE SOUTH NEEDED A MOMENTUM SHIFT BACK IN THE FAVOR OF THE SOUTH

THE COURSE OF THE BATTLE

THE BATTLE LASTED A TOTAL OF 3 DAYS AND WENT IN THE UNION'S FAVOR

COURSE OF THE BATTLE

THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CASUALTIES WERE 51,000 AND NEARLY 8000 DEAD

WHEN GENERAL LEES ATTACK FAILED IT WEAKENED THEIR ARMY VERY CRITICALLY
