Government The Chinese separated government and religion but the Islamic people ruled based on government. The Islamic people had a decentralized government with regional governors and the Chinese had a centralized with a emperor. They were both cosmopolitan and focused on trade
Agriculture The Islamic people experimented with agriculture and they grew new crops. The Chinese though created new techniques to improve the growing of the crops they already had. Because of this both societies had a increase in population.
Patriarchal Society In Islam they were very patriarchal by veiling women's heads and faces. In china they were binding women feet. There were different customs but it was still patriarchal. In china they had a female emperor though
Inventions The Chinese invented gunpowder and were able to make many metals. They eventually used gunpowder in weapons and the metal formed their weapons. The Islamic people made advancements in things but not as much as the Chinese and focused on getting trading goods.
Tolerance In china they had tolerance because there was no one religion each religion did fight but the government did not focus on it. In Islam this is different because one of the main priorities of the government was their religion.
Currency The Chinese created paper money which was called flying cash which allowed merchants to deposit goods and get a equivalent else where. The Islamic people created a system of credit called Sakk which means check.
Influence from others Each place was influenced from trade from other societies. China influenced many of the technologies Islam gained. Islam also influenced other places by spreading of their trade and religion.
