RAT ISLAND EQ REPORT

An 8.5 earthquake had taken place in the Rat Islands in the Aleutian Islands. The specific island in Alaska is the Shemya island.

The island suffered no major tragedies except for flooding. The flooding was caused by the earthquake forming a tsunami that wiped over Shemya. This damage was done on 02/04/1965.

It was a total of $10000 dollars to fix all of the flooding caused by this earthquake and the island was left In tragedy of the ruined buildings.
