Music
The Wolof play the guitar and bongo drums in traditional music. This is mainly played for dances at village festivals.
Sports
The most popular wolof sport is wrestling. They hold completions year round for wrestlers in and out of Wolof territory.
History
The Wolof traces back to the 12-13 century, ruled by early kings. The wolof migrated from Mali after the fall of the Ghana empire in the 11th century. Europeans arrived for salves to sell to American colonies in the 15-16 century.

The Wolof tribe kings helped the Europeans capture neighboring tribal people for slave trade. In return the Europeans did not hurt them, although the kings sacrificed lots of their people for protection for their royal family.
