WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY
You get to skate on ice.
You make a lot of friends and you can travel.
You get to hit people if you are physical.
You learn how to pass, shoot, defend with a hockey stick.
You get to learn the basics of controlling the puck.

SOCIAL INTERACTIONS
First off, you will have a team. They'll eventually become closer.
On and off the ice, you go to activities and parties as a team.
In tournaments and normal games, you can talk to the opposing team.
You can get to know the other team in many ways as well and become friends.
Your will team will grow to become a part of your family.

WHY ITS DIFFERENT
There is no age requirement. Just pick up a stick and skates.
It is one of the only "ice" based sports created.
It is very fast paced with changes in lineup constantly.
Unlike some other sports, it is played with a stick and puck.
Rules are different than other sports, more hitting in hockey.

FUN FACTS
Hockey was made in Canada.
It was originally played with a stick and rock.
Hockey didnt have helmets until 1979 (goalie always did).
The NHL was founded in 1917.
The Hockey Hall of Fame is located in Toronto, Canada.
