GLASS

STEP 1

• Melt several minerals at high temp
• Use Silica, Soda Ash, Limestone
• Melted at 1,700 degrees C.

STEP 2

• Consumers use contents
• They recycle the glass
• A truck takes it to manufacturing

STEP 3

• Sorted into colors
• Then crushed to small pieces
• Crushed Glass: Cullet

STEP 4

• Cullet is mixed with raw materials
• Then melted in a furnace
• Melted into a liquid state

STEP 5

• Pour into molds
• Cooled slowly to increase strength
• Packed and sent to other companies
• Used for multiple purposes
