FROM THE BEGINNING
Noah was the grandson of Methuselah and the son of Lamech
Noah lived for 950 years and had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth
He Noah was a “just man and perfect in his generation,” and “walked with God”
The people of the earth during Noah's time were wicked and corrupt
God opted to sweep the earth of it's population
3.
GOD'S RELATIONSHIP WITH NOAH
Noah was a righteous man that did everything God asked of him
The people of Noah's time became corrupt and sinful
Due to the behavior of the people, God decided to bring upon a flood
This flood would kill all of mankind except for Noah and his descendants
God would lead Noah to safety
4.
CHOOSING NOAH
God singled out Noah from all of his people and chose him for an important task
He told Noah about his plan to kill all the people of his land with a universal flood
God promised Noah that he would protect him and his family
God would protect Noah if he followed his instructions
God had faith in Noah, for he new he was a man who always believed in God
5.
CONSTRUCTING THE ARK
To escape the flood, God instructed Noah to build an ark
God gave specific directions on how to construct the ark
It had to be very large, made out of cypress/gopher wood with a door on the side
It had to be sealed with tar to keep out the water, with a window below the roof
The dimensions of the ark were 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high
6.
Noah's Ark had three tiers
7.
NOAH'S FAMILY AND ANIMALS
God allowed Noah to take his family with him on the arc to escape the flood
There were 8 people on the ark that were safe from the flood
These 8 people included Noah, his wife, their 3 sons, and the wives of sons
God also instructed Noah to bring two of every kind of animal on the ark
Along with his family and the animals, Noah brought food for survival

DURING THE FLOOD
The flood lasted for nearly 40 days and 40 nights
This universal flood killed everyone outside of the arc
Noah, his family, and the animals stayed on the ark for the entire flood
Due to Noah believing, and listening to God, he was saved
God kept his promise with Noah
10.
THE DOVE
Noah released a dove from his ark at the end of the flood
He did this to see if the water had dried up and to see if it was safe
The first time, the dove came back to him with nothing
A week later it came back with an olive leaf, showing the water had dried up
This dove is symbolic to the story of Noah and essentially led him off the ark
