Nomadic Society and its effects on trade.

The nomads were exposed to different cultures,natural resources and goods. The nomads took these goods and spread them around. This sparked trades.

Turkish military expansion

The Seljuks were a group of nomadic Turkish warriors. They defeated the Ghaznavid empire at battle of Dandanaqan, and conquered land stretching from middle east to central asia.

Explain how Genghis Khan attained so much power.

Genghis khan took revenge of the clans that were responsible for his father's death and his imprisonment, with the help of the clans who had supported his father Soon, the other clans started supporting him and he was elected as the khaga in 1206

Describe how the Mongols were organized politically?

Genghis khan revolutionized his army by incorporating the decimal system.He created meritocracy, where positions were given on the basis or bravery in battle or loyalty. He also proclaimed Yassa, a bee law of the empire, and appointed his adopted brother to be the supreme judge.

Mongolian rule under Kublai Khan.

The battle of Xiangyang was a key battle between the invading mongols and southern song forces. During this battle, Kublai renamed the mongol empire to Yuan Dynasty. Victory of this battle led to the fall of Song dynasty, and Kublai Khan became the first non-Chinese to conquer all of china.
