INFO ABOUT THE FOUNDER AND THE PARK

• The elephant park was open in the 1990's.
• Lek was born in a small village in the mountain. Lek is presently in her 40's
• Her grandfather inspired her to love all animals
• Most of the adult elephants in the park are blind, disabled or in bad
• Conditions due to being in tourist camps.

ABOUT ENP

• Each elephant has their own mahout who care for the elephant
• In the park there are also over 400 dogs who were mainly rescued after the floods
• There are also 50 buffalo, 2 horses, 30 cats and 6 pigs
• People can come and take care of the elephants
• You can visit ENP as a day visitor or a long term guest

ARE YOU INTERESTED?

• We are looking at starting an elementary ENP service group
• Secondary has been running a service group for a number of years
• In April they will run a week of activity to raise awareness about the plight of elephants
• There is also going to be elephant day during earth week
