Mercator Map
Make the areas near the poles look bigger than they are.

Equal Area Projection
An equal area map that shows the correct size of landmasses but their shapes are altered.

Robinson Projection
Many Geographers believe this is the best world map available. This projection shows most distances, sizes and shapes quite accurately.

What are the parts of a Map?

The section of the map that explains the symbols and shading on the map.
