How to write a sentence.

Sentences must have a subject and a predicate.

A subject is a person, place, or thing.  A predicate is an action.

I went to a  store to buy ice cream.

"I" is the complete subject. "Went to the store" is the complete predicate.

We saw a movie.

In the sentence the simple subject is "we". "Saw" is the simple predicate.

Conjunctions are words that  join sentences together.

These words are: and, nor, but, for, yet, so, and or.

Should I have pizza or wings?

"Or" is the conjunction.

I like Christmas, but I also like Halloween.

"But" is the conjunction.

I rode my bike.

Past tense is when it's already happened.
