• There is 5 days of this celebration
• It's a very important holiday , just like Christmas being important to Christians

THE FIVE DAYS OF DIWALI

• On the first day of Diwali housewives spring clean the home and shop for gold or kitchen utensils.
• On the second day , India's people decorate their homesy with clay lamps or even diyas , they also create design patterns called rangoli on the floor using colored powders or sand.
• On the third day , which is the most important day of the festival when families get together for Lakshmi puja
• Lakshmi puja is a prayer to the Goddess Lakshmi followed feasts and fireworks
