Moving To The West:
Most of the women were wives and mothers. Single women were seeking husbands, homesteaders, and other new opportunities.

CHALLENGES

• Drown when crossing rivers.
• Freeze to death.
• Indian attacks.
• Dehydration.

SETTLE

• The pioneer women settled in the west.
