Federalists View on Constitution

Untitled Slide

  • Government is here to protect us. It is good.
  • This well help control our nation and keep our colonists under control
  • Two house legislature is necessary
  • Must need balance within the federal government
  • Elites are the heart of this Nation

Anti-Federalist View on the Constitution

Anti-Federalist View on the Constitution

  • Unnecessary to change the A.O.C.
  • Too much government will overwhelm the citizens of this nation
  • Corruption is almost guaranteed with this document
  • People will lose all rights
  • Lower class will suffer greatly

So how does this apply to today?

Untitled Slide

  • Federalist and Anti -Federalists views are still in place today, however, under a different name.
  • For example...

Republicans=Anti- Federalists

Want less government involved, believe that less government is efficient

Republicans

  • Republicans tend to disagree on many issues that regard more government interaction such as, Health Care, Social Security, and higher taxes.

Democrats=Federalists

Government is healthy and necessary to function

Democrats

  • More government programs will help our citizens and protect them. They believe that the government is here to help, just like the Federalists believed.
