The Start Of Cleopatra's Royalty Life.....
Cleopatra was born in 69 B.C. and when she was born, all the pyramids were already built. They had been built for twenty five thousand years, so she didn't build any important monuments during her life time. She later on became ruler of Egypt, along with her brother, though she was Greek, or a Macedonian, to be exact. She was never a true Egyptian, so she wasn't the rightful ruler of Egypt. This is important because it was not tradition.
Growing Up As Ruler....
Cleopatra VII ruled over Egypt from 51-30 B.C. She was the last pharaoh of Egypt, even though she was not Egyptian. When she was becoming the queen, Rome was in the middle of taking over the Mediterranean Sea. Cleopatra was trying to unite the all powerful Greece, with her home, Egypt. She went to war with her brother, hoping to win over the Roman Army. She successfully conquered, becoming the over all pharaoh once again.
FACTS ABOUT THE CONQUERING...
- Cleopatra fought her brother for the thone.
- Ptolemy was her brother and he Egypt as much as Cleopatra did.
- Cleopatra got everything she ever wanted in the summer of 44 B.C.
- She won over the Roman Army because she married into Roman Royalty.
The Escape.....
Cleopatra had to escape Egypt, to go see Julius Ceasar. Many people were out to get her because they were in a huge civil war and were trying to make peace. So to escape, Cleopatra rolled herself up in a carpet and shipped herself to the Roman Palace. When they unrolled her, she was united with the delighted Julius Caesar.
A White Rose Wedding....
During Cleopatra's visit in Greece, she fell in love with Julius Caesar. The two were married in a white rose garden under the moonlight. Julius was the most powerful man, at the time. Cleopatra successfully got to the Roman Army to fight for her and Egypt. Her brother died in the battle, at age 15. He drowned in the Nile River, and sunk to the bottom because of all the gold he was wearing.
Going Great....
Cleopatra's life was going great.She and Julius Caesar were happily married. The had conquered Rome and Egypt. The powerful couple were also expecting there first baby boy, Ptolemy Creaser, though he was called Caesarian. They visited each other often. Julius was the Roman General, and gone all the time, but tried to visit every chance he got.

The Death...
Julius Caesar was very powerful. He was the general of the Roman Army, which means he was liked or disliked by many. The people that disliked him, hated him so much, they stabbed him in the back. Literally, they held him down no stabbed him to death. Cleopatra's life was shattered and Egypt went into a civil war, until she Mark Anthony.
MARK ANTONY FUN FACTS....
- He became the new Army general, after Julius Caesar.
- People loved him and thought he was a great man.
- He was very powerful because he was admired by his soldiers.
- He tried to conquer Africa, but that was no good.
The Second Time Married....
Once Cleopatra was sick of the Civil War, she finished mourning her late husband, Julius Caesar. She admired Mark Antony, and she believed he would take Egypt out of the civil war. So, she sailed off to Rome, wearing a angel costume, and a harp playing music in the background. When Antony saw here sailing over on her golden boat, he knew he should marry her and partially, he wanted to rule over Egypt, along side her. So thats what he did...
After Ten Years...
Cleopatra and Mark Antony had three children. There oldest were twins, there names were Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene. There names were picked after the Greek Gods, Sun and Moon. The youngest child was named Ptolemy Philadelphus. There children had the same feature there parents had. They were rich, with black hair and tan skin.
Octavia...
While married to Cleopatra, Mark Antony was also married to Octavian's sister, Octavia. It was political marriage, for power only and he had no real feelings for her. He insisted over and over again that Cleopatra was the only women for him.
The Surrender....
Octavian was a friend of Mark Antony, until they had a disagreement. They both wanted power over Rome. not only did Antony have Rome, he also had Egypt and Octavian wanted that. To tease him, Antony married his sister. Deciding that the fight went to far, they battled each other, and went to war. In the war, Antony surrendered, though word was sent to Egypt that he he was dead.
The End Of Cleopatra...
Back in Egypt, Cleopatra heard a rumor, saying her husband was dead. Cleopatra was absolutely horrified. She already lost Julius Caesar, and couldn't believe she lost her second husband. She couldn't take it anymore, so she wrote a will, claiming she wanted to be buried with Antony. One way people thought she died was that she let a snake bite her so the poison could get in her. Another way she could have died was by was by eating a plum stuffed with snake poison. But no one will no for sure.
The Not-So Happy Welcoming...
Mark Antony returned home, expecting to greet his happy family, and being gone at sea, he was happy to be back. Going through the palace, he couldn't find Cleopatra. No could, for that matter. Then one servant told him that she was in her bed chamber, dead, and about to be buried. The servant explained that Cleopatra thought he was dead, therefore, she killed herself. Antony was so upset, that he threw himself over the, balcony, and sticking a sword threw his stomach. He lived, but died two days later, from infection. When the two died, there was no other ruler in line.
FACTS ABOUT THE END OF EGYPT...
- Cleopatra killed herself because she thought her husband died in a battle.
- Cleopatra didn't know Mark still living, therefore she committed suicided.
- Mark only surrendered to Octavian, though he never was killed by him.
- When Mark knew Cleopatra was dead, he stabbed himself with a sword, upset.
- When Antony and Cleopatra died, no agreement was settled, so no one ruler next.
The End....
Cleopatra was an arguably good and bad ruler. Cleopatra had a few goals, that mainly revolved around herself. She was greedy for power, so married for an army general. She wanted to be loved and to have kids, so she concerned herself with a man, rather than the people of Egypt. Though, she ended Egypt by killing herself and ruining lives, her people loved her, respected her, and looked upon her. After all, that's what really kept Egypt standing, under her reign.
