ARTICLE 4 SECTION ONE

Summary: Each state is required to recognize other state laws, and enforce them in their own courts.

REASONING:

Demands equal federal laws in all states.

AMERICAN VISION:

Upholds the equal law and punishment in all states, though there are some exceptions.

ARTICLE FOUR SECTION TWO

NO DISCRIMINATION, AND FUGITIVES MUST RETURN TO DEMANDING STATES.

REASONING:

To declare peace among U.S. citizens, and to fulfill bounties.

AMERICAN VISION:

Upholds values of non-discrimination, and upholds trial in appropriate states.

ARTICLE FOUR SECTION THREE

Congress controls acquired territories and public lands.

REASONING:

Everyone under congress on American soil will have the rights they deserve.

AMERICAN VISION:

Everyone in the U.S. has the rights to live the American Dream.

ARTICLE FOUR SECTION FOUR

President is allowed to send in federal troops to maintain order.

REASONING

Maintains order and keeps the people safe.

AMERICAN VISION

Still upheld to this day, not needed so frequently.

AMENDMENT 7

Trial by jury

REASONING

Judges don't have total power

AMERICAN VISION

Still in use today in federal and state courts.

AMENDMENT 8

Slavery is abolished, except in the case of punishment by a federal judge.

REASONING

Stops slavery.

AMERICAN VISION

Only used in the forms of community service punishments.
