In this presentation you will learn about the Cherokee tribe, their religon, farming, their way of housing, language, native foods, and where they are located!

THEIR BELIEFS

The Cherokee people had a strong belief that there were certain beings who came down from the skies and Formed The World!!!

The also had a relationship of proper balance, the looked to the guiding and to protect the spirits of the upper world to help keep balance and harmony on the Earth.

LANGUAGE

The Cherokee tribe used the language of American Indian Iroquoian. Iroquoian language was proper and was apart of their everyday life and religon!

Some of the native foods that we're apart of the Cherokee tribe were corn, beans, squash, and Sunflowers!

HOUSING

The Cherokee people never lived in tipis. The plains Indians lived in these, as they were able to be moved when herds and hunting season came around!

The Cherokee people historically lived in houses made of mud and clay with roofs of brush and rivercane.

FARMING

The Cherokee tribe was different from all other tribes because farming was their lifestyle!
