Northern Italy
The weather in Italy varies greatly by region and season. During winter, there can be ice storms and below-freezing weather even in the south of Italy. Many Italians head to the Alps for una settimana in bianca (winter vacation). Spring is also beautiful.

Regions: It consists of 8 regions in northern Italy: Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino Alto-Adige.

Temperature
in this area the climate is mainly continental with cold winters and hot summers but quite rainy.

Central Italy
In Central Italy there can be a considerable difference in temperature, above all during the winter: in some winter days it can be
28 °F and snowing in Milan, while it is 46.4 °F in Rome and 68 °F in Palermo. Temperature differences are less extreme in the summer.
