West African Trade

Trade happened between west and north africa.
West africans received slat, cloth, and metal wares from north africans. In return, west africans traded gold, slaves, ivory, and cattle hides.

Due to the trades and more contact with one another. The African cities began growing.

The Niger river runs across west africa, for centuries the river has been a key route for transportation, communication, and trade.

People in the deserts traded dried fruits for west african crops.
Trading was much easier when people started traveling by camel.

My Reaction

I wasn't very surprised because most other civilization traded with their neighbors.
