LEGISLATIVE

  • Has the power to enact amend and repeal laws.
  • They observe and steer governing actions.
  • Have the authority to amend the budget.

JUDICIAL

  • The system of courts that interprets
  • And apllies the law in the name of the state

EXECUTIVE

  • Has sole authority and responsibility for the daily administration of the state.
  • This branch also executes or enforces the law.

TWO HOUSES

  • Congess is split in two.
  • The Senate is one of the two.
  • The House of Representatives is the other half.
  • The House has 435 members.
  • The Senate has 100 members.

WHY WE HAVE 3 BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT

  • To divide power within the federal government.
  • To check the other branches, so that one branch
  • does not have complete rule.
