LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE

  • Latitude: A coordinate that specifies the north/south position
  • of a point on the Earth.
  • Longitude: A coordinate that specifies the east/west position
  • of a point on the Earth.
  • These are important because they are essential for locating specific points on a map.
