His Background
Brett James spent his early life in Oklahoma and Texas, he grew up singing in church and came from a music family. He never thought he would write songs. At 19 asked for a guitar afterimage learning three chords it felt natural to write a song. He was Influenced by hardcore honky tonk and rock, he moved to Nashville and gained a contract with Career Records and Arista Nashville. He was also a failed recording artist so he decided to go back to medical school but he was still writing songs he had given up his dream of being a songwriter but it medical school he just let lose and wrote any songs he wanted
