Transportation had a lot of effect on the world today and the world when the industrial revolution was occurring. Some positive and some negative.

- Faster travel
- People could leave the villages they grew up in.
- Transporting supplies to the public became more efficient
POSITIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS
LONG TERM
- Decreased travel time
- Comfortable rides
- Travel all over the world
NEGATIVE SHORT TERM EFFECTS
SHORT TERM
- More money went into building roads and railways
- Public were taxed to fix roads
- People who didn't know how to drive were driving
NEGATIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS
LONG TERM
- Noise pollution
- Increased death toll from motor accidents
- Fumes effect people's living quality
Transport effected the way we have fought wars and the way we fight wars today.
POSITIVE SHORT TERM EFFECTS

- Supplies could be transported to troops faster
- More soldiers could be sent to the front line at one time
- Soldiers on leave could get home faster
POSITIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS
LONG TERM
- Less soldiers are being killed
- Protective vehicles
- Transport to war zones is quicker
NEGATIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS
LONG TERM
- Displacement of millions of people
- Thousands of deaths
- More money being spent on army vehicles than education
