WHAT IS EMAIL MARKETING (EM)?

WHICH TYPES OF EMAILS ARE PREFERRED?

WHY USE EM?

HOW DOES IT WORK?

* Open rate: who opens the email.

* What customers do with the email: delete, spam, or click a link (aka click through rate).

* Results: depending on who opened the email and what they did with it, we can use that info to resend similar info to the people who opened it and clicked on an ad, change the content of our email if someone didn't open it & delete email addresses of people who marked our email as spam (so we don't email them again)

WHERE TO GET EMAIL ADDRESSES

WHAT DO WE DO WITH EMAIL ADDYS?

* Software will enable us to send emails about translation, SMM, insurance services to clients who have expressed interest in those services.

* Targeting these clients will result in more sales

* Speaking 1:1 with clients, evaluating their previous/current services with us, and looking at what they clicked (e.g. Ad for video production services) will tell us what they're looking for

CONTENT: EMAIL BODY

* Landing page: when the client clicks on a link and that link takes them to a certain web page, that web page is the landing site.


Structure & Design:
* Humans scan info in an F shape - put most important info in these spaces

* Users look for our logo in the top left corner automatically, so let's put our logo there (and make it clickable so they can go to our website)

* Concise words to tease value and make them want to read more (e.g. "New study suggests banana peels for wrinkles", "meet with us by 07 September for discounted price on translation services)

CONTENT: EMAIL SUBJECT LINE

FOCUS ON BEST PRACTICES

* Above the fold: best info should contained at the top of the email (similar to a newspaper) to grab the reader's attention (specifically, "above the fold" refers to the area above where the user has to scroll down

* By providing relevant information, we show we are up-to-date of what's going on in the world of healthcare and making our info useful to the clients

* If they are unsatisfied with any of our services, we provide them a direct route to contact us instead of them having to remember to reach out

* shows we care about our performance and our ability to help them meet their needs

* makes it easier for them to reach out if they need any help

* more visibility of additional services we offer; incentivizing a "bundle" where they can purchase our SMM, SEO & PR services together at a cheaper rate than just one or the other individually

* demonstrates pride in performance and genuine concern for the client
