ASSESS

  • When you assess something, you estimate it's value or ability.
  • Games or practices help coaches assess how well the players are playing.
  • They watch them play, and cheer them on.

COMPENSATE

  • When you compensate for something that you lack, you make up for it.
  • On chilly days, scarfs, gloves, and hats can compensate for the lack of heat.
  • They both do something to make up for the things you missed.

DETERIORATED

  • Something that has deteriorated became worse or inferior in condition, value, or character.
  • The abandoned house deteriorated over time of not being used.
  • Faded, or washed.

DEVASTATING

  • Something that is devastating is overwhelming or destructive.
  • The devastating tornado destroyed many houses
  • Hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes

IMPLEMENT

  • To implement a plan is to put it into effect or make it happen.
  • My friends and I are making a plan to implement project that helps the homeless.
  • Stopping bullying better.

PERIPHERAL

  • Peripheral vision refers to the outer edges of where you can see.
  • The walls that where in my room blocked my peripheral vision of the tv.
  • Because we need to be able to see everywhere.

POTENTIAL

  • Potential means "possibility."
  • The weather bein warmer gives the potential of summer.
