Just ONE Idea

The Danger of...
We all come to crossroads in life and sometimes it feels like we have to pick a destination when we really just need to pick a direction.

What am I going to do next?

But we don't learn to do that. We have been taught and are expected to know exactly where we are heading next.

Whether you are miserable in your work or highly successful in your business and want to move on to something different, the question of "What am I going to do next?" is what usually pops up for people.

Our options often seem narrow. We have all had enough experience (actual or through media) with the teachers, nurses, doctors, etc to have an idea of what they do.

So those professions are somewhat known. And that's a whole heck of a lot more comfortable than unknown.

Even outside that iconic group of professions another crop of known professions has arisen.

We kinda know what these folks do. Maybe it's something we can do.

So we pick one and figure out what's next.

"Nothing is more dangerous
than an idea,
when it's the only one
you have."

-Emile Chartier

Um...this quote should elicit a needle off the record response for someone who is putting all their eggs in one WHAT basket.

That's the problem. When we ask ourselves "WHAT am I going to do next?" we feel the need to settle in on something specific.

There's a better question to ask.

WHY am I here?

I know. This is a big existential question.

But it doesn't have to be.

"WHY am I here?" is about uncovering your purpose.

Start here.

Dig in deep to understand WHY and WHAT will be a whole lot easier to track down.
