BACKGROUND

  • Brand name is phencyclidine, it isa white crystalline powder that easily
  • Desolves in liquid. It appears in a large variety of colors. It can be snorted
  • Swallowed, injected and smoked. Ususally sold on the street in a
  • Foil wrapping. The effects of the drug are felt within two minutes of taking
  • The drug.

CLASSIFICATION

  • PCP is recreational dissociative drug. It is a Schedule II controlled
  • Substance. In the 1950s PCP was a pharmaceutical drug but was
  • Taken off the market in1965 due to dissociative hallucinogenic side
  • Effects. This drug is one of the most dangerous forms of hallucinogens
  • It inhibits the brain funtions such as blocking NMDA receptors.

STREET NAMES AND VALUE

  • PCP street names include angel dust, KJ, Ashy Larry, illy
  • And wet. The street value of PCP as of January 2014 is $5-$15
  • Per tablet and $20-$30 per gram of powder. It is one of the most

DOSAGE

  • PCP can also be detced with a hair follicle drug test up to 90 days

  • She was fed noodles laced with PCP. The girls mother Hope Brodie
  • Age 26, had cooked PCP in a kitchen pot and used the same pot
  • To make her childs dinner. The child was in stable condition after treatment.

  • When PCP is smoked it is usually applied to a
