  • Diet: high fruit, terrestrial invertebrates and small
  • Invertebrates, and also small birds
  • Adaptation: specialized pads om their feet at birth
  • To protect them from rough nest floor

EMERALD TOUCANET

  • Natural Habitat: Mountainous region from Mexico through
  • Central America, northern Venezuela, Andes, to Central
  • Bolivia.
  • Interesting fact: live in small flocks about 5-10 birds
  • Status: Least Concern

MANADRIN DRAGONET

  • Scientific Name: Synchiropus splendidus
  • Diet: Copepods, Polychaete worms, small gastropods
  • Fish eggs and ostracods
  • Adaptation: Don't have scales, have slimy skin with an
  • appalling stench coated in mucous

  • Natural Habitat: Pacific, from Ryukyu Islands south to Australia
  • Interesting fact: Live in pairs and groups up to 5
  • Status: doesn't have any

  • Diet: fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp
  • Adaption: Nocturnal
  • Interesting Fact: very hardy fish, popular amongst
  • hobbyists as an aquarium fish
