Reports something from someone's perspective
Uses words such as thinks, hopes, knows, ect.
Direct Statement = "There is a hill in the distance."
Indirect Statement = "I see a hill in the distance."

ex) speaking, thinking, seeing
verbs that are connected to a part of the head
ex) thinking = brain, seeing = eyes
Latin ex) video = I see, audio = I hear
