HEARING

  • Hears vibrations through the front feet
  • Stapes to hear out of water
  • Tympanic membrane

CHEMORCEPTION

  • Detects chemicals
  • Sensory receptor

BREATHING

  • Lungs for breathing on land
  • Gills for breathing under water
  • Can detect odors by using olfactory epithelium
  • Can use skin to breathe

CIRCULATORY CIRCUTS

  • Pulmonary- takes blood between heart and lungs
  • Systemic- takes blood to body organs
  • 3 chambered heart
  • Spleen that stores blood

EXCRETORY

  • Bladder temporarily stores waste
  • Paired kidneys to filter blood
  • Aquatic- releases waste as ammonia
  • Terrestrial- releases waste as urea

HABITAT DESCRIPTION
-must near a pond, swamp, or damp area

HABITAT REASON
-so their skin won't dry out

  • Mouth- helps in consumption of food
  • Pharynx- connects the mouth and nasal passages to the esophagus
  • Esophagus- connects the throat to the stomach
