Homestead act was a law that gave 160 acres of land to citizens who met certain conditions

KKK was a group of people who wore robes and masks to pretend to be dead confederate solider ghost to get revenge on enemies from the south

The Africans Americans benefitted from moving westward because they got away from a lot of bad things.

With moving they got away from sharecropping, lynching, and segregation
