  • It is tissue damage
  • It is also cell death
  • Heat, electricity, UV radiation, chemicals
  • Measured by the rule of nines

  • It's cells are destroyed
  • The body loses fluids (proteins/electrolytes)
  • Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance appears
  • Can lead to kidney failure and circulatory shock
