PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1. Describe the mechanisms by which the solar energy is absorbed by the atmosphere and the factors that determine the amount of solar energy an area receives.
The Atmosphere does absorb solar energy but not directly. Most of Insolation passes right through our atmosphere to the surface of the earth. Here the energy is absorbed and changed into forms of energy that the atmosphere can already absorb. When Solar energy is absorbed, the earth's molecules at the surface moves even more rapidly. Their factors that control the amount of solar energy an area receives, which includes the angle which insolation strikes the surface, the length of time each day that insolation is
received, and the nature of the surface. The Angle of insolation includes the factors latitudes and day and Annual Cycles, The period of Insolation includes the factors Season and Latitude and the Nature of the earth's surface includes the factors color and texture and Specific Heat.. These small factors including Latitude, Day and Annual Cycles, Seasons, Latitudes, Color and Texture , and Specific heat control the amount of solar energy an Area Receives
2. Explain how density differences in the atmosphere cause atmospheric circulation.
As we know Atmospheric Circulation is one of the systems of movements that affects life around the world. It keeps the air well mixed, so that animals and plants will have the access to the gasses they need. The Atmospheric Circulation was also known to be the movement of air by which heat is distributed, but how?, it's simply because of density differences. Density Differences was one of the causes of Atmospheric Circulation. As said heat is distribute throughout the earth by atmospheric circulation and
which is the movement of Air, the density of air in the atmosphere, is like air pressure, it decreases as the altitude increases, it also changes the temperature or humidity. Based on the Definition of Air density, it changes the temperature and humidity just like air pressure, which means, the difference of densities help the air move by changing the temperature or humidity. If there are different densities of air in the atmosphere, the temperatures in atmosphere are different because the air densities change the humidity and temperature all around the atmosphere. Density differences cause atmospheric circulation because it changes the temperature which also changes the humidity, the change of humidity will cause air movement
which is actually the atmospheric circulation, therefore we can truly see that density differences in the air truly cause atmospheric circulation.
