PROTECTION
Trials are approved by belmont review board
The willowbrook study took advantage of vulnerable youth with out participant consent. Thus led to the IRBs .
The IRBs are respect for person, beneficence, and justice.
This study requires informed consent by the participant and their parent
Participants are given analyzed data

STAGE 1
Evaluate the sleep quality and performance over two weeks
Fill out general health survey
Wear heart monitor belt for two weeks while sleeping
Personal sleep analysis will be given to the participant
Standing, recovery, and waking heart rate will be recorded during athletic performance

STAGE 2
Randomized into two groups. Group A will get 1-2h more sleep
Group B will remain the same
After two weeks the groups will switch
Continued monitoring of injury, sleep, and porformance
Continued use of heart monitor belt and survey before and after sleeping

Athletes/coaches: beneficence, no harm to atheletes with improvment
Parents: justice, respect for persons, full discolsure and no coersion
Docotors: beneficence, little harm with progress in science
