GANDHI ADMITS THERE ARE SALT LAWS THAT HE FEELS ARE UNFAIR.
Gandhi hated the salt laws, so he sent a mail explaining that Gandhi will lead his people to make their own salt if the British government keeps the law.
BOTH SIDES ARE TRYING TO GET RID OF IMPERIALISM OF UNJUST LAWS.

Gandhi is willing to help his country, so He used unimaginable ideas that seem unbelievable. He uses his ideas to fight against the government. One of his plan was "The Salt March", that was an idea to break one of the salt laws that made the indians buy british salt, but cant make their own. This made the government rethink.
This quote explains that the non-violence is the greatest tool that us humans are given. We choose most of the time not to use it so, when we often go to war. But, Gandhi was smart and decided to stand against the British government using no weapons and still won.
So what made non-violence work? Non-violence worked because Gandhi once said, "Non-violence requires a double faith, faith in God and also faith in man." What Gandhi means by this is that for non-violence to work you need to have faith over all.
