BAPTIST VIEWS ON THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

• Jesus describes through the gospel of john the way to recieve eternal life.
• Once you have recieved eternal life you can never loose it.
• By faith alne in christ alone you are saved by grace.
• John talks mostly to unbelievers to teach them how to recieve eternal life
• John 3:16 tells unbelievers how much God loves us.

CATHOLIC VIEWS ON THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

• They believe that if you sin you move further away from God.
• They believe that you have to pray to the saints.
• They believe that there are specific prayers that they have to pray.
• The catholic bible says john 3:16 that you might have eternal life.

SIMILARITIES

• We both believe in the same God according to the gospel of John.
• We have the same teachings in some ways.

BAPTISTS

• Only do comunion every first sunday of the month
• You only get baptized if you believe faith alone in christ alone
• And the way that you get comunion is if you have truly believed in God
• To advance you just have to be faithful in bible study

CATHOLICS

• Take comunion every mass
• They believe that being baptised helps you get saved
• To recieve comunion you have to be baptised first
• To advance you have to go to confermation classes
• They have to be confirmed to become a full member in the church
