The invention: Radio
The radio was invented in 1895. There are a lot of different kinds of radios. The radio, telegraph and telephone are closely related. They all deal with radio waves. A radio runs on radio waves. The radio has since it first started become a popular portable source of entertainment.

The inventors: Guglielmo Marconi and Nikola Tesla
Marconi was born in 1874 in Bologna, Italy. His mother was a member of the Jameson family of distillers. His father a wealthy landowner. On the side of inventing he was a electrical engineer. Nikola Tesla was also believed to have a part in the radio. Tesla was also an engineer. He was born in 1856. His father was a priest his mother managed the family farm. His brother was killed in a riding accident. They fought over which one of them was the real inventor of the radio. They officially named Nikola Tesla the official inventor but people still think of Guglielmo Marconi of the father of the radio.
