THE PEOPLE

• There is a girl named Lina and a boy named Doon.
• They are the main characters in the book.
• They live in a city called Ember.
• It is really dark in ember and there running out of light.

THERE JOBS

• At first Lina has he job of pipeworks laborer.
• Then Doon trades her for messanger.
• He thinks he can go down and fix the generator in the pipeworks.
• But when he gets down there he cant figure out how.

LINAS GRANDMOTHER

• Linas grandmother starts looking for something but she doesn't know what.
• Then lina saw Poppy chewing on something.
• It lookedwas some kind of instructions.
• Lina pieced it together
