MY MIDDLE EAST ADVENTURES

By: Anthony Blanco

Egypt
When me and my family started on our vacation we had to start off at Egypt. I mean who doesn't want to see the pyramids. It was so cool seeing them tower above me but I got really impressed on the fact that they built them so tall up in this heat!

EGYPT FACTS

  • Egypt is in the north east corner of Africa
  • Egypt is famous for it's pyramids and egyptians
  • The longest river in the world is in Egypt (The nile)

The Dead Sea
It was so cool going to the Dead Sea, but I tried to go swimming and accidentally opened my mouth, Bleh! It was still really cool that I could've floated so easily though. My mom never got that experience cause she just stayed at a spa all day, boring don't you think.

DEAD SEA FACTS

  • Is also called salt sea.
  • It is 1388 ft. below sea level.
  • 33.7 salinity (very salty).
  • The salt in the dead sea kills all marine life.
  • Mud from the dead sea was used in mummification!

Oman
Oman I would say was the most relaxing of everywhere that I went. I basically lived on the beach and I ate a lot of
Ice cream, I mean like a lot.

OMAN FACTS

  • Oman and Saudi Arabia have absolute monarchy
  • Oman's pfficial language is arabic
  • The tallest mountain in Oman is Jebel Sham

Iran
Going to Iran was super cool cause my brother, my dad, and I all went hiking in a valley while my mom went to go shopping with my baby brother. We saw a scorpion, and even though I thought it was cool, my little brother stayed five feet away from it.

IRAN FACTS

  • Iran's official language is persian.
  • 80% of export income comes from fossil fuel
  • Mount Damavand is the tallest mountain in iran

Red Sea
The Red Sea was another day at the beach, and a lot of ice cream. The Red Sea was still a little salty in my mouth but nothing will match up to the Dead Sea.

Red Sea facts
-the Red Sea has 36% salinity .
-the Red Sea is connected to the Mediterranean Sea by the Suez Canal.
-the Red Sea is one of the youngest sea environments on earth.
-length is 1180 miles long.
