PRESENTATION OUTLINE
GOVERNMENT THROUGH PHOTOS
The other day, my neighbor's tree fell and blocked the road which caused a lot of traffic. They called the city, and the city took care of it by cutting off the branches and moving it out of the road, which was funded by local tax money. This is an example of how local governments can help out their citizens, even with small problems such as this, and how what the citizens give contribute to this.
Cars are an important method of transportation, and in order to drive a car a license plate is required. These are registered and issued by the government, which is an example of how they interact with us on a daily basis. This need also creates jobs for people, and without them, it would be difficult to get from one destination to the next.
Water is fundamental for life, and the city government is in charge of getting it to everyone. They provide houses with water (which is what the water bill is for), as well as control the sewage systems and clean the water. They're responsible for providing many families with clean, safe water and without the government, access to it would be much harder.
These vitamins, which my family and I take daily, are another example of how the government affects us. All of these vitamins have to follow and pass the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) guidelines. This is a way to ensure that the food and medicines that people receive are safe, therefore helping the government keep citizens safe and healthy.
This is another example of how the government strives to ensure the health of its citizens. This beef, along with many other meats and dairy products, etc. are inspected by the US Department of Agriculture before they are packaged and sent to families around the country for eating. This ensures that no disease is spread through the food and everyone stays healthy.
