  • He came back everyday and watched every train pass though.
  • He kept coming back waiting for his master to return.
  • Not knowing that his master had come back, in a coffin.

SHEP IS FAMOUS FOR...

  • He became well known to everyone the community.
  • The officials took care of him.
  • He came back every day for 6 years.
  • Until he was run over by a train.
  • He front paws were on the rails and the driver couldn't stop in time.

SHEP HAS BEEN REMEMBERED BY...

  • He had a statue made for him near the train station
  • There is a song that is related to him

  • He had an article published which talked about him

WHERE IS THE STORY FROM:

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN:

  • Shep first came to the station in 1936
  • He died in 1942
  • He lived at the station for 6 years
  • In 1994 the town built a statue of Shep
  • They got the money by selling mini Shep statues
