REASONS

• He tried to pursue and marry Judy Jones
• Bought all the laundry mats to become his own business men
• Wanted to be a golfer
• To become rich and be apart of the upper class
• Strived to be the best at what he does

NOW THE MOTIFS ....

His dreams such as being a golfer made him become a golf catty which pushed him to quit to pursue his dreams. This is just an example because his ambition was he wanted more out of life and pushed himself to be better. Not only that but trying to be a business man led to to buy many laundry mats which is a huge step, causing him to fill confident in his dream.

Another example of a motif was his dream of being liked and accepted causing his to take the the chance to chase after the "golden girl" ,or Judy, the girl everyone wants.

These are the ways that the Theme and Motif effected the story the Winter Dreams.
