FRIGATEBIRDS

CHARACTERISTICS

  • They are called the men of war birds
  • These magnificent males have a red chests
  • They are really good hunters when working together and independently
  • They have waterproof feathers

DIET

  • The diet of this bird it would eat meat so it's a carnavior.
  • It would mostly eat by the sea
  • Also small fish, squid, jellyfish, crustaceans.

HABITAT

  • The habitat of these creatures are mostly near water.
  • Because they are sea-birds
  • And woodland scrubs or light forests
  • These birds are also by the coasts aswell

PHYSICAL VS. BEHAVIORAL

  • The behavioral part is that they sometimes act like pirates
  • The physical is that they were born with wings and a fork tail
  • Another behavioral is that they are carnaviors
  • Another physical is that the males have a red a red chest.

  • This cool animal is surprisingly related to a pelican
  • And because its long beak I guess

  • These birds are called "man of war birds" and sometimes "pirates".
  • Frigatebirds have a lot of different species 5 to be exact.
  • My favorite kind of frigatebird is the Christmas frigatebird.
  • The males only have the red throat pouch
  • During mating season males would stick out their pouches and wait for a mate.

MORE FACTS

  • These birds have the largest wingspan compared to the body
  • These birds can fly more than a week without taking a brake
  • When these birds mate they have a certain dance and call
