DEFORESTATION

We cut down rainforests for wood and space.
Rainforests take a lot of space and as population grows people need to cut it down for space where they will build schools, roads, and houses.

The wood is used to build stuff which gives more jobs to the community. The wood is used to make paper. The paper is used in the schools and other places.

Wood can be burned, used to cook food, for warmth, and for lights.

BAD EFFECTS
70% of the worlds plants and animals that live in the rainforests are losing their habitats. This leads to extinction.

The animals need the rainforests for food. People use the rainforests for food too. Plants being cut down is bad because people can't use the plants for medicine.

IF WE DIDN'T CUT DOWN TREES.....GOOD EFFECTS

• We'd have a lot more rainforests
• A lot of animals wouldn't be endangered or extinct
• People could use the plants for medicine

IF WE DIDN'T CUT DOWN TREES....BAD EFFECTS

• No space
• A lot less housing ( no timber )
• Less farming
