WHAT SHOCKED US...

  • The Southern German states were more afraid of France than Prussia
  • Otto Von Bismarck caused France and Prussia to go to war
  • Bismarck used misunderstandings between the French and Prussian states to start
  • the war
  • The ruler of Prussia was declared the Kaiser of Germany

THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENT

  • The most important event was whenever the southern
  • German states alligned themselves with Prussia because
  • It is what got themselves involved in the Franco-Prussian war.
  • Also, whenever William I of Prussia was crowned Kiaiser of the unified
  • German states.
