Promotes aquisition of knowledge through repetitive practice
Advantages:
- Allows users to practice at their own pace
- Can be used across the curriculum in many different content areas
- Gives instant feedback
- Many software programs use digital rewards such as points or badges to help motivate students

Disadvantages:
- Need internet connectivity
- Can lose interest quickly
- Might not be an accurate representation of knowledge

  • Could interfere with some children's intellecutual learning
  • Skills might now transfer as easily
