Gone With the Wind plays an important role in The Outsiders. In Gone With the Wind it is like the socs and the greasers, with whites and the slaves. The greasers are the slaves working on the plantations, and the socs are the white plantation owners. The socs in The Outsiders can do whatever they want because of their wealth. The greasers are forced Pony and Johnny also both like the setting which is in the country; and most the white people haves fancey lives. In The Outsiders Pony and Johnny also book Gone With the Wind because the civil war was between the rich and the people who believe in fairness.
