• They met at Stanford University, and collaborated on
• a search engine called BackRub, which was on Stanford Servers
• It eventually took up to much bandwith and was removed.

BECOMING A WEBSITE

• The domain "google.com" became available for access September15, 1997
• The word google is a play on the mathematical term "googol"
• Googol means the number one followed by 100 zeros.
• They chose this to represent their dream to have seemingly infinite information
• on the site.

OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED BY GOOGLE

• Google provides a variety of services besides a search engine
• They have a Email service, provide digital hangouts,
• Have a help service where you watch a series if videos from experts
• that show you how to do things your struggling with.
• They also have their own web browser called Google Chrome

GOOGLE DOODLES

• Recently google has been letting people submit doodles that say
• google but within a doodle of some kind.
• Some of them are playable, like the PAC-MAN doodle.
• Others celebrate special dates, like how the one in the background
• celebrates the birthday of Allesandro Volta.
