Cyber warfare, the warfare of the 21st century. Most countries spend billions of dollars on antivirus software to protect the most critical secrets for themselves and their allies. For the United States, it is the launch codes to the nuclear arsenal that they possess.

The People’s Republic of China, protecting numerous private communications with the Russians and South Korea. Great Britain, the location of agents in the most crucial covert operations in countries all around the world. For Israel, it is the location of over half a dozen Afghanistan military complexes hid into the mountains of Tajikistan, Afghanistan's neighbor to the North.

Every country has their secrets, and every country has its own way of getting those secrets. The most notable country is North Korea. Most recently, there was a huge viral attack against America, that caused the shutdown of Bank of America for several days. Also several hundred electronic devices had to be wiped of the virus that were connected to the system. This is only a small taste of what North Korea could do with their arsenal of cyber warriors.

This does not mean that only powerful countries can do this, but private armies and militias can as well. Sun Chul Kim, South Korea’s leading specialist in antiviral software, was captured and kidnapped when he was working at his private home. The unknown attackers came in the middle of the night killing all thirteen guards and escaping only leaving an A with a circle around it drawn in blood above a dead guards body.

The next recorded attack by the same militia happened two weeks later. A French freighter was carrying relief supplies to the war torn country of Somalia, when it was ambushed by the militia. The attack did not make any sense until it was discovered that instead of relief supplies, it was carrying over two hundred FAMAS F1 machine guns and over a quarter of a million rounds of ammunition for the Rebel forces.

As long as the weapons there were two Tigre HAP, the first helicopters developed by France for fast deployment. Along with the helicopters there were two military Ospreys equipped with heavy armament. The same symbol was left on the freighter, this time with a sentence below it saying, “Beware, the Army of Thieves have taken your guns!”

Another attack happened two weeks after the second, when a massive outbreak of over one hundred prisoners escaped out of the Kresty Prison in Northern Siberia. All the guards at the prison were killed except for two maintenance workers. The workers were found hiding in the old sewage tunnels, but they were able to tell who attacked the prison.

They said that there were two helicopters attacking the prison, they were later identified as the Tigre HAP’s that were stolen two weeks prior. Another symbol was left again, this time saying, “The army is rising from the shadows.”

The last recorded attack only happened one week ago when a C-130 cargo plane carrying over twenty billion Euro’s to help with the economic collapse of Greece were stolen while the plane was refueling at a remote runway in France. The two crewman of the C-130 were found in a field with a bullet hole to the back of the head for each.

There is still four days time till the next two week deadline, and we do not know what they do next. The Army of Thieves is now a force to be reckoned with as they have enough money to buy a small country.
